Key sections from this documentation page.

Contract TypesEditing TermsSignatures and Form Use

Contracts stores the terms used by PawPlacer's public forms. Open Settings > Forms & Documents > Contracts.

Contract Types

Use the contract-type selector to switch among:

  • Adopter
  • Foster
  • Volunteer
  • Surrender

Each type starts with PawPlacer's default wording until your organization saves a custom version.

Editing Terms

Select a type and edit its wording in the rich-text editor. The page shows:

  • Whether the default or custom version is active
  • Unsaved and saved state
  • Last-edited information
  • Character count
  • A warning when the content is unusually short

Choose Update to save the custom wording. Use Reset to Default to remove the override and return to PawPlacer's default terms.

Signatures and Form Use

Contract wording is presented only when the corresponding public form template is configured to require terms. Configure that behavior in Settings > Forms:

  • Require terms acceptance
  • Use a checkbox acknowledgement or drawn signature

The donor form does not have a contract type.

Permissions

Administrators and Form Administrators can manage contracts.

Contract wording is an organization responsibility. Have legal terms reviewed for the laws and retention requirements that apply to your organization.
