Open Settings > Records & Data > Exports to generate one CSV from the organization's live data for each supported record type.
Available Exports
- Pets: profile details plus medical history, vaccinations, procedures, prescriptions, notes, relationships, images, and custom fields
- Adopters: contact details, status, linked data, notes, and custom fields
- Fosters: contact details, availability, capacity, linked data, notes, and custom fields
- Volunteers: profile details, schedules, availability, recent shifts, and custom fields
The page shows the current record count beside each export and a combined total in Export Notes.
Download a File
Choose the export action beside the record type. PawPlacer builds the CSV and downloads it through the browser. Files use the record type and generation date, for example:
pets-pawplacer-2026-07-27.csv
CSV files can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or another spreadsheet tool. Large exports may take longer to generate.
Custom and Linked Fields
Configured custom fields become columns. Duplicate display labels are disambiguated, and supported linked records are exported with readable names instead of raw identifiers where possible.
The pet file is intentionally comprehensive; medical histories are represented in export-friendly columns and combined text. Use Reports when you need narrower medical analysis.

Exports requires Administrator or Privileged access.
