Open More > Match Lab to compare AI-assisted pet matches without changing any records. Match Lab is a read-only analysis surface for team members who can work with adopter or foster matching.
Choose a Subject
Select a pet, adopter, or foster from the left rail. Search narrows the subject list.
- For a pet, choose whether to review adopter or foster candidates when you have access to both.
- For an adopter or foster, Match Lab lists compatible pets.
The page loads saved match results for the selected subject. Administrators can choose Find Matches when results need to be generated or refreshed.
Narrow the Roster
Use the roster controls to:
- Require any score, 50%, 65%, or 80%
- Filter by readiness state
- Search candidate names
- Sort by best score or name
The readiness counts and candidate list update with the selected subject. Access and regional availability follow the same AI Matching rules used on pet, adopter, and foster profiles.
Compare Candidates
Select up to two candidates from the roster. Match Lab compares:
- Overall score and score gap
- Confidence
- Compatibility dimensions and the largest difference
- Readiness
- Strengths and concerns
- Missing evidence and explanatory notes
Selecting another candidate after two are chosen replaces the older selection. Remove a candidate to return to a single-candidate view.
Use the Results
Choose Open Profile to continue reviewing a selected pet, adopter, or foster in its normal record. Copy Shortlist copies a plain-text summary containing the selected subject, candidates, scores, and readiness states.
Match Lab does not approve an application, assign a foster, complete an adoption, or edit a profile. Staff remain responsible for reviewing source records and making the final placement decision.
Access
Adoption Counselors can review adopter matching, Foster Coordinators can review foster matching, and administrators or Privileged users can access both. Match Lab follows the organization's AI Matching configuration and the same regional restrictions as other matching surfaces.
