PawPlacer gives you several ways to locate task work, depending on what you already know about the task.
Finding a Board
Use the main navigation or global command menu to open Tasks. The Taskboards page shows the boards available to you.
Select the board that owns the workflow you want to review.
Filtering a Board
When you are inside a board, use the toolbar to narrow the view:
- Open the tag dropdown
- Select one or more tags
- Use the status buttons to choose Active, Completed, or Archived
- Switch between board view and list view as needed
Use list view when you want a compact scan of many tasks. Use board view when you want to see workflow stages and move cards visually.
Finding Pet-Related Tasks
If you know the pet:
- Open the pet profile
- Stay on the About tab
- Find the embedded Tasks section
- Select a task to open the task side panel
The pet profile shows tasks linked to that pet, sorted by due date.
Finding Due Tasks
For time-sensitive work:
- Check dashboard task widgets
- Check the Classic dashboard schedule
- Open Upcoming for a fuller schedule and list view
Tasks only appear in schedule views when they have due dates.
Finding Overdue Tasks
Overdue tasks are highlighted in task cards and rows. Dashboard widgets can also surface overdue work, depending on your dashboard layout.
Search Limitations
- Task boards use tag and status filters rather than a cross-board task search
- Archived tasks are not shown in the active board view
- You only see tasks that your role allows you to access
Tips
- Use clear task names
- Link tasks to pets whenever pet context matters
- Use tags consistently so board filtering stays useful
- Add due dates for anything that should appear on dashboard schedules or Upcoming
