Tasks with due dates can appear in PawPlacer schedule views, alongside events and medical dates.
Where Scheduled Tasks Appear
Scheduled tasks can appear in:
- Dashboard task widgets
- The Classic dashboard schedule
- The Upcoming page
- Pet profile care summaries when the task is linked to that pet
Tasks without due dates stay on task boards and pet profiles but do not appear on schedule calendars.
Classic Dashboard Schedule
The Classic dashboard schedule shows dated tasks and events across a responsive date range. Select a task to open the task side panel.
The task side panel lets you:
- Review details
- Update the due date or assignees
- Mark the task completed
- Archive the task
- Manage task documents
- Add comments
Upcoming
The Upcoming page gives a broader planning view for tasks, events, and medical items. Select a task from the table or calendar to open the same task side panel.
How Tasks Are Placed
Task placement is based on the task due date and time. A task with a date but no useful time may appear at the start of the day.
Color and Visual Cues
Task cards and schedule items can use tag colors or task colors depending on the view. Overdue tasks are highlighted in task cards and rows.
Creating Scheduled Tasks
Create tasks from:
- A task board
- A pet profile's Tasks section
- Dashboard quick actions that support task creation
Set a due date and time if you want the task to appear in schedule views.
Tips
- Add due times for work that needs to happen at a specific point in the day
- Use tags to make task types easier to scan
- Review Upcoming when planning across tasks, events, and medical work
- Complete tasks promptly so dashboard widgets stay useful
