Care Views
Open Pets and choose:
- All for every current record.
- In Care for pets whose status counts as in care.
- Past for out-of-care outcomes.
Metrics show the count for each scope and the number matching the current filters.
With no saved preference or care value in the URL, the workbench starts on All. Selecting a care view saves that choice for the current user and organization. It does not change any pet's status.
Search
Search by pet name, custom ID, microchip, or breed. Results update through the workbench query.
Table and Gallery
Use the view control to switch between:
- Table, with configurable columns and administrative detail.
- Gallery, with photo cards showing status, name, breed, age, and days in care.
Selecting a row or card opens the full pet profile. Use a row's action menu for Preview.
Customize Table Columns
In Table view, select the gear-shaped Customize columns button:
- Search for a column by name if needed.
- Turn columns on or off.
- Drag visible columns into the preferred order.
- Choose Reset to return to the standard layout.
The setting is saved to the current account's table preferences, so it follows the user on later visits. Available fields include standard pet details and supported custom pet fields. Some identity, action, image, description, and selection columns remain fixed or unavailable because they do not work as ordinary data columns.
The small-screen layout uses cards instead of squeezing the full desktop table into the page.
Facets
The main rail includes:
- Multi-select Status.
- Single-select Species.
- Tags when pet tags exist.
Click More filters for size, sex, age category, spay/neuter state, health, coat length, color, special needs, temperaments, good-with or bad-with values, intake date, public visibility, and supported custom fields.
Status and tag choices are remembered separately for the In Care and Past scopes.
The All scope can combine in-care and past statuses. If a filter appears to “come back,” first check whether you changed care views: In Care and Past intentionally keep their own saved status and tag selections.
Sort
Available sort choices are:
- Name A–Z or Z–A.
- Recently updated.
- Newest intake.
- Longest in care.
- Status.
- Age category.
Bulk Work and Deleted Pets
Pet Managers can select rows for Bulk Edit Selected or Add Medical Records. Use Deleted Pets at the top of the workbench to review soft-deleted records instead of mixing them into normal care views.
Deleted pets are excluded from normal care counts and plan-limit counts. Moving a pet to an out-of-care status also removes it from the in-care plan count while keeping the full record available under Past. If an add-pet limit warning remains after either change, reload the Pets page so the latest account count is used.
