Microchip Registry connects PawPlacer pet and owner records to PetLink. Open Settings > Microchips.
The page includes:
- Connection settings for your organization's PetLink Animal Professional account.
- Summary counts for total, registered, in-progress, and failed registrations.
- A registration list showing the pet, microchip number, status, and any error.
- Add Microchip for starting a registration.
Microchip Registry is marked Beta and is available to Admin, Pet Manager, and Developer roles.
Registration Statuses
- Pending Validation: the registration is saved but has not been checked with PetLink.
- Ready to Submit: PetLink validated the microchip and returned its payment status.
- Transfer Required: the chip is already registered and the current details may be submitted as an eligible ownership transfer.
- Registered: PetLink accepted the registration.
- Error: validation or submission did not complete successfully.
PetLink may return payment information for a chip that is not prepaid. Review that response before submitting; a non-prepaid result does not by itself prevent submission.
Where Registrations Start
You can choose Add Microchip on the settings page or start from a pet's microchip information. Starting from a pet preselects the pet and chip number when those values are available.
