The Schedule View is part of the Classic dashboard. It provides a calendar-style overview of upcoming tasks and events so your team can plan the near term without leaving the Dashboard.
Accessing the Schedule View
Open Dashboard and switch the top-right toggle to Classic. The Schedule View occupies the lower portion of the classic layout.
Understanding the Schedule Display
The Schedule View includes:
- Responsive Date Range: Shows 5 days on wide screens, fewer days on smaller screens, and 1 day on mobile
- Date Header: Displays the current date range
- Navigation Arrows: Move backward or forward when there are scheduled items outside the current range
- Time Grid: Shows hours from early morning through evening
- Color-coded items:
- Events use their event color
- Tasks use tag colors when available
- Each item shows its title and time slot
Navigating the Calendar
To browse the schedule:
- Click the left arrow (←) to move to the previous range
- Click the right arrow (→) to move to the next range
- The current date range updates in the header
The calendar automatically adjusts the visible hours based on when you have scheduled items.
Schedule Items Display
Each item in the schedule shows:
- Title: The name of the task or event
- Time Slot: Visual representation of duration
- Pet Images: Thumbnail photos of associated pets (when applicable)
Items are positioned according to their scheduled time and may span multiple hours.
Working with Schedule Items
Click any item to:
For Tasks:
- View complete task details, documents, and comments
- Edit task information (name, description, due date, assignees, pets, tags)
- Mark as completed or archive from the side panel header
- Delete or duplicate the task from the task actions menu
For Events:
- View event details including location, type, and description
- Edit event information
- Delete the event
Creating New Items
The Schedule View is read-only. To add new items:
- For Events: Open More Features → Events
- For Tasks: Open Tasks
Once created, new items automatically appear in your Schedule View.
Empty Schedule
When you have no scheduled items for the displayed range:
- An empty state message appears
- Use the Add Task button to go to Tasks
- Or use the navigation arrows when scheduled items exist outside the current range
Tips for Effective Scheduling
- Tasks from Today's Tasks panel open the task side panel
- The schedule refreshes after you modify tasks or events
- Use different task tags to create visual distinctions
- Check for overlapping items to avoid conflicts
- Review the Upcoming page when you need a full 7-day calendar or medical schedule view
The Schedule View gives you a full picture of what's happening across your organization, so your team stays coordinated and nothing slips through the cracks.
