Dashboard

The Dashboard is PawPlacer's daily operations home. It combines search, schedules, care work, applications, fundraising, capacity, and other summaries in a configurable widget grid.

Default Layout

A new layout starts with:

  1. Quick Search
  2. Agenda
  3. Operations Snapshot
  4. Adoption Pipeline

The greeting and primary dashboard actions stay above the grid. The Actions Hub is pinned above the other widgets when it is available to your role.

Customize the Dashboard

Open Dashboard and use:

  • Add Widget to choose from the widgets available to your permissions.
  • Customize to move, resize, or remove widgets.
  • Reset to replace your current layout with the default four-widget layout.

PawPlacer saves the layout for your user and account. The grid adapts to the available screen width, so the same layout may stack differently on smaller screens.

Available Information

Depending on your role and account data, the widget picker can include:

  • Search and quick actions.
  • Agenda and calendar schedules.
  • Tasks, upcoming medical care, and daily pet care.
  • Operations, intake, capacity, pet status, and adoption pipeline summaries.
  • Fundraising, revenue risk, and wishlist needs.
  • Team-on-duty and dashboard background widgets.

Widgets that require information you cannot access are not shown in your picker.

Open Source Records

Dashboard cards are summaries. Select a linked pet, application, task, event, transport, medical item, or other record to open the source workflow where it can be reviewed or updated.

Suggested Daily Workflow

  1. Use Quick Search to open a known record.
  2. Review Agenda for today's and near-term work.
  3. Check operational and intake widgets for exceptions.
  4. Open source records to complete or update the work.
  5. Adjust the layout when your responsibilities change.
