      What Are Meet and Greets?

Meet and greets are scheduled meetings between adopters and pets. They can be in person, virtual, or phone-based, and they keep scheduling details, status, notes, and outcomes on the adopter profile.

      Access Meet and Greets

Open an adopter profile and find the Meet & Greets section in the main profile area.

The compact section shows upcoming and past meetings, with each card showing:

      • Status badge.
      • Meeting type.
      • Title.
      • Date and time.
      • Linked pet.
      • Location when present.
      • Notes or outcome context.
      • Edit and delete actions.

      Schedule a Meet and Greet

      1. Click Schedule Meeting in the Meet & Greets section.
      2. Add a title and optional description.
      3. Choose date and time.
      4. Choose duration.
      5. Choose meeting type: In Person, Virtual, or Phone Call.
      6. Add a location for in-person meetings or a meeting link for virtual meetings.
      7. Select the pet.
      8. Choose the status.
      9. Add internal notes if needed.
      10. Click Schedule.

      Meeting Statuses

Meet and greets can use these statuses:

      • Scheduled
      • Confirmed
      • Completed
      • Cancelled
      • No Show

When a meeting is completed, staff can record an outcome.

      Edit or Delete a Meeting

Use the icon buttons on a meet-and-greet card to edit or delete it. Editing opens the same form with the saved values loaded. Deleting asks for confirmation.

      Internal Notes and Outcomes

Internal notes are visible to staff and are useful for observations, concerns, follow-up tasks, or handoff context. For completed meetings, use the outcome field to record the result.
