View and manage individual wishlist items from the item profile

Wishlist Item Details

Each wishlist item has its own compact item profile where you can view all of its information, track progress toward fulfillment, and make quick updates without leaving the page.

To open an item's profile, click any row in the wishlist table.

Page Layout

The item profile is organized into several sections:

Header

At the top of the page, the profile header shows the item name, priority badge, category tag, public/private tag, created date, price, quantity needed, and contribution count. If you have edit permissions, the action bar includes an edit button and a delete action.

Product Image

In the left column, the product image is displayed in a square card. If no image URL has been set for the item, a placeholder camera icon appears.

Sidebar Details

The left column also includes:

  • Details: category, priority, public/private status, and View Product when a URL is set
  • Item Details: the item's description, when one was added
  • Inventory: price, quantity needed, available quantity, and covered quantity
  • Activity Timeline: recent contributions and when the item was created

Quick-Edit Fields

In the main column, three inline-editable fields let you make fast updates:

  • Price: The per-unit price. Change the number and click or tab away to save.
  • Quantity Needed: The total number of units your organization needs. Must be at least 1.
  • Received on Hand: How many units your team has manually counted outside a tracked donation or pledge. Donation-linked received quantities are calculated from contribution history.

Changes to these fields save immediately; there's no separate save button to click. This makes it easy to update quantities quickly, such as when you're processing an untracked delivery or adjusting the total amount needed.

Summary Cards

The main column starts with summary cards:

  • Available: shows how many units can still be claimed after subtracting received, funded, and pledged quantities.
  • Contributions: shows the number of linked contributions and a summary of received or pending support.
  • Inventory: shows the total requested value based on the current price and quantity needed.

The details section also shows Received, Funded, Pledged, and Covered counts so inventory and contribution activity stay distinct.

Progress Tracking

A dedicated progress card shows:

  • A percentage label (e.g., "75%") and a visual progress bar that fills from left to right as the item is covered.
  • The exact covered count out of the total needed (e.g., "3/10 covered").
  • A status badge that reads Needed when fulfillment is still in progress, or Fulfilled (in green) when the received quantity meets or exceeds the quantity needed.

Contribution History

Wishlist item profiles also show donation contributions linked to the item. Each contribution includes the amount, status, donor information, message, and quantity when one was recorded.

Pending Stripe checkouts, pending external payments, and pending physical item pledges reserve quantity while your team waits for payment or delivery. Received wishlist donations and confirmed item pledges add to the item's received quantity. If a received donation is later refunded, cancelled, or marked not received, PawPlacer reverses the quantity so the item can reopen as needed.

Pending contributions can be reconciled directly from the item profile when your team has edit access.

Editing an Item

Click the Edit button in the action bar to open the full edit form in a dialog. The form includes item details, wishlist basics, product links, public visibility, and monetary donation settings. Make your changes and save to update the item.

Deleting an Item

Open the action menu and choose Delete. A confirmation dialog will appear before the item is permanently removed from your wishlist.

Navigating Back

Click the Back link at the top left of the page to return to the main wishlist table.
