On 29 June 2023, we found a couple of abandoned puppies near the Sanctuary. We are working so hard to help reduce the stray population through free or low cost sterilisation programmes, but are prepared for this sad scene to play out many times more before our work will begin to show some benefit. In September 2023, sister Elena was adopted, and is starting out on their path to their best life. We hope poor Emily isn't far behind, as she is a lovely dog who likes playing and is very loving. She is now a very sweet young dog, with a lovely temperament. We believe that among the many benefits of adopting from the Sanctuary is that the puppies here have known to expect nothing from humans than love, care and attention. As a result, they are already friendly, playful and happy to go with you to their new homes. All you need to do is carry on the good work started by us at the Sanctuary!
