FOSTER TO ADOPT AGREEMENT
This Foster-to-Adopt Agreement (this "Agreement") is made effective by and between
Better Bunny (hereinafter referred to as the "Organization"), of 47-193, Iuiu Street, Kaneohe, Hawaii
96744, and of (hereinafter referred to as the "Foster Caregiver").
The Organization and Foster Caregiver agree to undertake the services under the terms and provisions
defined in this Foster-to-Adopt Agreement.
The Organization retains legal ownership of the rabbit(s) and is entrusting the Foster Caregiver with
temporary care until the rabbit(s) have been spayed or neutered. Once the rabbit’s sterilization is
completed and the Organization approves, ownership may officially transfer to the Foster Caregiver to
finalize the adoption. The Foster Caregiver acknowledges that they will not receive any monetary
compensation for the services provided in this Foster-to-Adopt Agreement. The Organization recognizes
that the Foster Caregiver's ability to provide care may be limited in duration, and both parties agree to
maintain open communication regarding the rabbit(s)’ well-being and placement. The Foster Caregiver
understands that the full adoption fee of $150 must be paid prior to taking the rabbit(s) into Foster Care.
This fee will be reimbursed in full if the Foster Caregiver decides not to adopt or if the Organization
determines that adoption will not proceed. In consideration of the premises and the covenants herein
contained, it is agreed between the two parties as followed:
- The Organization hereby places said rabbit into the care of the Foster Caregiver.
- Upon the Organization's request, Foster Caregiver will return the rabbit(s) to the Organization, which
will be accomplished as soon as is practical. If the Foster Caregiver decides not to adopt, they must notify
the Organization and arrange the rabbit’s return. The adoption fee will be reimbursed once the rabbit has
been safely returned to the Organization.
- The Foster Caregiver agrees to provide care for the rabbit(s) until they have been spayed or neutered.
Once the sterilization is complete and the Organization confirms readiness for adoption, the Foster
Caregiver may finalize adoption paperwork and ownership transfer. If the Foster Caregiver cannot
continue to provide care or decides not to adopt, the Organization will reclaim the rabbit(s) and refund the
adoption fee in full. The Foster Caregiver acknowledges that they do not have the authority to transfer
ownership of the rabbit(s).
- The Organization retains the right to reclaim the rabbit(s) at any time if it determines that it is in the
rabbit’s best interest.
- Foster Caregiver agrees not to alter in any way the appearance of the rabbit(s) being fostered without
written permission of the Organization; grooming and medical care deemed necessary by a veterinarian is
an exception.
- Foster Caregiver agrees to provide adequate food, water, shelter and humane treatment for said
rabbit(s) at all times. Foster Caregiver also agrees to the following:
a. Provide the rabbit with adequate indoor space (minimum of 4’x4’)
b. In addition, Foster Caregiver agrees to adhere to all state and local animal laws. Foster Caregiver
agrees to follow all oral and/or written additional instructions from The Organization.
- In the event of an emergency, Foster Caregiver shall contact The Organization at the numbers provided
to confirm the Organization's choice of action. If the Organization cannot be reached in a timely manner,
Foster Caregiver is authorized to:
a. Transport the rabbit(s) to the listed veterinarian on the attached contact Form;

and enrichment items, at their own expense. The Organization will not loan supplies or reimburse any
costs associated with these items.
- Foster Caregiver agrees to strictly follow the dietary guidelines set by the Organization.
a. The Foster Caregiver agrees to feed the foster rabbit only the diet approved and instructed by the
Organization. The Foster Caregiver will not feed the rabbit any additional foods, unless explicitly
approved by the Organization.
- If said rabbit(s) dies or becomes accidentally injured or ill the Organization does not hold Foster
Caregiver responsible and releases Foster Caregiver from any claim arising from said injury.
