Gooding Idaho Dog Pound
GOODING DOG POUND
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Gooding Dog Pound is to provide safe, compassionate, and responsible care to every dog that comes through our doors while serving the community of Gooding through responsible animal control, education, and community partnership.
As a small, 13-kennel municipal facility, we work hard to make the most of the resources available to us while continually improving the care we provide. Every dog that enters our facility deserves to be treated with patience, kindness, and dignity.
Our first goal is always to help lost dogs find their way home. When that is not possible, we work to give each dog the best opportunity for a new beginning through adoption or placement with a trusted rescue partner.
We are committed to maintaining our no-kill status while continually looking for ways to improve the programs, partnerships, veterinary care, and resources available to the dogs in our care. We believe every dog deserves proper care, a safe place to stay, and the opportunity for a second chance.
The Gooding Dog Pound is more than a place for stray dogs to wait. It is a place where we work every day to reunite families, care for animals in need, support our community, and help give every dog the chance to find a safe and loving home.
