Betty arrived at the Sanctuary in June 2019 with her mother Brownie and her four siblings. She was just 1 week old when she came so she has only ever known life in the Sanctuary. Her mother Brownie was a stray who while pregnant was beaten by a security guard and as the Sanctuary was not finished, she was fostered for a few weeks until she had given birth and could come with her pups to the Sanctuary. Betty and her siblings did well at the Sanctuary and thrived until two of them got Parvovirus and died. Bettys two other siblings were adopted and so only Brownie and Betty remained. Betty is a friendly active dog but is a little wary of strangers, so she doesnt get attention from potential adopters. She is still very close to her mother and is often curled up with her in a bowl! She is a jumper and always manages to find ways to climb the Sanctuary fence though our latest modifications have her stumped! She would do well in an active family with one other dog for company.
