Maya was kept by the sister of one of our donors in very poor conditions, tied up despite having just given birth. The donor persuaded her sister to give her up in August 2019. She was full of ticks and fleas, and very thin. She stayed in foster care for a few months while the Sanctuary was being built. During this time, her puppies were found homes. She is a quiet dog and stays in the kitchen area but sometimes she will be in a playful mood and play with other dogs! She has had no health problems at all since we brought her in and she is such an easy going dog.
