We got a report in July 2025 about an old dog that had been literally run over by a truck. We called her Elspeth. She had been fed as a stray and given Sanctuary by the staff of Phil South, a construction company here in Dumaguete, but when she got run over, they didn't know what to do so called us. X-rays showed a broken front leg, and also showed a previous break that had long healed. She had Ehrlichia, but apart from that she's OK. Amputation is a risk as she is very overweight and old so we are hoping a cast will immobilize her and allow this latest fracture to heal by itself. We are also ging to try and reduce her weight. We want this girl to finally have a home.
