On 11 April 2023, three young puppies, barely eyes open, were heartlessly abandoned near the Sanctuary. It is against the law in the Philippines to treat animals in this way, but it happens all the time. People rarely have funds to afford to sterlise their pets, and the stray population booms. We called them Mave, Missy and Mari. The only solution is mass sterilisation drives, which we have been organising this year, and hope to do far more of in the future. In the meantime, Mave is looking for her permanent home. She is a mischievous and active young dog now, and would be an ideal fit with any family. Her sister Missy has already found her family, and we hope the same for young Mari and Mave.
