When we rescued him in May 2025, we got him confused with a female rescued on the same day, so Tali was originally Thalia! Tali was rescued flailing around on the side of the road, a clear survivor of neurological distemper. We think he is a Husky who had been kept in a cage and then dumped when he didn't recover. He couldn't have walked to where we found him and his muscles in his legs have all atrophied. With appropriate medication and daily therapy, Tali slowly regained his strength, but is still pretty wobbly. Tali is another long term recovery case, whose initial donations did not cover the entirety of his care. This is why we need dog sponsors and regular monthly donors.
