Brownie

About Brownie

Great

Brownie was a stray who was beaten by a security guard while she was pregnant. A foster was found to see her through the birth of five puppies. Sadly two died of Parvo, but two were adopted, with just Betty remaining at the Sanctuary. She was actually adopted twice but returned through no fault of her own her adopters did not have to patience to let her adjust to her new home. For this reason, we are now very careful with who she goes to as it is traumatic for a dog to keep being rehomed. Brownie used to spend a lot of time outside the Sanctuary as she would jump out in the morning and then jump in again at night. For a while she was bullied so thats likely the reason she kept jumping out. Now the other dogs tend to leave her alone. Brownie is such a lovely dog she loves human touch and attention but is a little wary of strangers. She can climb trees and fences easily and as a result we have had to raise and modify the Sanctuary fence to stop her getting out.
